Marci Meaux is the 2017 chairperson of the ATD board of directors, and a former vice president at Cisco. In her previous role, she was a key leader in the transformation of Cisco. Marci has managed large traditional organizations and small, innovative teams with the charter to disrupt the status quo. She has been named Woman of the Year by the Association of Women in Computing.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Marci is an acknowledged authority on building innovative partner and sales enablement programs that increase customer service ratings, reduce customer service response time, and improve organizational productivity.


Joseph N.C. Huang

Joseph Huang is the president and CEO of both E.SUN Financial Holding Company (E.SUN FHC) and its primary subsidiary, E.SUN Commercial Bank (E.SUN Bank). As a top executive, he is charged with E.SUN FHC’s short- and long-term development, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, organizational structure, business performance, and investor relations. Since his appointment as E.SUN FHC president in 2008, Joseph has steered the company through a number of financial crises and pushed it to new heights. In the third decade of E.SUN’s expansion, overall performance enhancement, overseas expansion, and digital finance innovation have been the three most important long-term strategies. Joseph has led E.SUN FHC to attain significant milestones and become one of the best banks in Taiwan.

Y.T. Du is chairman of Nan Shan Life Insurance Co. Prior to joining the firm, Y.T. had been a managing director and chairman of Citigroup Global Markets Taiwan Limited since 2000, and a veteran investment banking professional leading Goldman Sach’s Asia Investment Banking Services in Hong Kong from 1991 to 1996.

Y.T. is not only a seasoned banker who has completed numerous landscape-changing merger and acquisition (M&A) deals, but also an influential opinion leader in the Taiwan community. He has been at the forefront in shaping the formation of Taiwan’s capital market regulations and M&A law by contributing his professional experiences and views. Y.T. currently serves as an adviser to the Executive Yuan and is a frequent columnist and speaker for leading commercial newspapers and events. Government officials and business leaders have sought his advice in strategic and financial affairs. Since Y.T. completed the deal advising Ruen Chen Investment Holding Co. to acquire Nan Shan from AIG and took the position as vice chairman of Nan Shan in 2011, he has grown the company from the ninth-largest life insurance company in terms of market share to the largest.


Karen Hough

Karen Hough is the founder and CEO of ImprovEdge, a number one Amazon bestselling author, a contributor to the Huffington Post, and a recipient of the Stevie Silver International Award for Most Innovative Company of the Year 2012 and the Athena PowerLink Award for outstanding woman-owned business. Karen’s award-winning books include The Improvisation Edge: Secrets to Building Trust and Radical Collaboration at Work and Be the Best Bad Presenter Ever: Break the Rules, Make Mistakes and Win Them Over. Her new book, Go With It: Embrace the Unexpected to Drive Change, was published by ATD Press in 2017.

Karen’s first life was as a professional improviser and actor. She trained with Chicago’s legendary Second City, did more than 100 theatrical productions, and was featured in radio, TV, and film. She lived a second life as a successful executive in network engineering. Finally, she became an entrepreneur. She is a Certified Speaking Professional and has presented to audiences of thousands both in the United States and internationally.

Her firm helps companies transform behavior through interactive training, with a presence in four cities and a varied client list that includes Becton Dickinson, Cardinal Health, NBCU, ESPN, JPMorgan Chase, Nationwide, Coach, and AstraZeneca. Karen is a graduate of Yale University and La Sorbonne, Paris IV. She holds board positions, volunteers extensively, and lives with her husband and three children in Ohio.
