What is ALC?

October 12-14, 2017
Renaissance Arlington Capital View
2800 South Potomac Ave., Arlington, Virginia 22202

ATD has more than 100 chapters across the country, each led by a volunteer leadership board. Over 1,000 talent development professionals make up the volunteer chapter leader community, and are dedicated to the success of their chapter. Current and upcoming board members will network with fellow chapter leaders, share best practices for running an ATD chapter, and learn about new resources to support their chapter. ALC attendees are the program decision makers for their respective chapters.

Who is ATD?

The Association for Talent Development (ATD) is a professional membership organization supporting those who develop the knowledge and skills of employees in organizations around the world. The association was previously known as the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD).

Meet Our Leaders

ATD’s Board of Directors comprises thought leaders in the field who represent diverse industries. ATD's President and CEO, Tony Bingham, works with the board, a staff of more than 100, and a global network of volunteers, all committed to helping create a world that works better. The National Advisors for Chapters (NAC) are volunteer advisors to U.S. chapter leaders and ATD’s chapter services team.

What We Do

We support the talent development profession by providing trusted content in the form of research, books, webcasts, events, and education programs. We host a variety of conferences several times a year, including the premier international gathering for talent development practitioners.
